The Last Day of School--It was a long day!

On the last day of school, Walker had his Kindergarten performance. An hour program full of songs which showcased all they had learned from the past year. It was great seeing all of the parents together in the gym because we could swap funny stories of the schoolyear not to mention our cameras when our other little ones were acting up.
It started at 9:00 in the morning so Chris was going to meet us there from work (he leaves for yhe office at least by 6:30 every morning). 8:45 came along, then 8:50, 8:55 and then Maverick turned to me and with a slightly concerned but more mocking tone asked "Mom, where is your husband?"
Maverick's actually going through this stage where he will call us anything but mom and dad. I've had to correct him from calling me 'Roxanne', 'Ainsley's mother', and 'Mrs. Risenmay' in public...I'm telling you, at 3 years old, he's quite the personality! At 9:00 exactly Chris arrived, Maverick was relieved. Boy was Chris glad that he didn't miss any of that hour long showcase..:)
Walker with Mrs. KarlquistWalker singing during his Kindergarten performance.Walker performing a "jig" in honor of the month of March during his Kindergarten program. He would come home to show me how he was the best at "jigging" and that's how eventually he got the part. It's no wonder that he told me that he aspires to be a hip hop dancer when he grows up. Chris still wonders where he got that from. :)

Aubrey and her 2nd Grade teacher Mrs. Luna.
Aubrey got flowers from Chris and I for not getting into any trouble in school and for always helping pack the lunches in the morning. She thought it was pretty amazing to receive them and carried them similar to a pageant finalist throughout the schoolyard.
