Last Saturday was Math Field Day for the elementary schools in the area. Aubrey was invited to join the event so she's been spending one afternoon a week over the last few weeks practicing math games and drills with a few of her friends at the school in preparation for this event. Since Aubby was a 3rd grader she wouldn't compete at the competitive level yet but it was good practice for her. Over a 1000 kids participated and the day was full of anticipation and excitement. I think her favorite part happened while we were walking from the far reaches of the parking lot (try parking with 1000 kids and their parents in a high school lot) to the gym and someone yelled out from their car "Let's go Regal Eagles!" (They recognized her shirt.) She was pretty pumped! Here she is with her friends Madison and Kylee.
