Maverick's 3rd Birthday--last March

The tradition stands that the birthday boy or girl gets to choose the meals for the day as part of their celebration. Maverick's menu was fairly simple: Crepes for breakfast, Macaroni for early lunch, and something from Disneyland for dinner. You know, the norm.
And since Maverick loves the show 'My Friends Tigger and Pooh" on the Disney channel, and anything Disney for that matter, his cake was an easy choice as well.


This year at Disneyland, they've been offering a free ticket to anyone who enters on their birthday. Everyone except for Mavy (and Ainsley) already have season passes so now that he's officially of-age at Disneyland it was nice to cash in this free ticket of fun.
We were also able to meet up with some of our college friends, the Eyring family, that lived with us in Wymount, ahem, the rabbit hutches at BYU. It was so good seeing them! Janet is amazingly talented and is actually a featured guest on one of Salt Lake's television stations as a recipe and coupon guru, (and she's the author of the "101 things to do with a slow-cooker" cookbook that I've been highly recommending!) and Sean is probably the only person I know that could beat me in a trivia game about anything Disney, and believe me that's impressive! Their little sons Westley and Christopher were gems and made great buddies with the kids too.
Maverick got to wear his special pin that announced it was his birthday and all of the "cast members" at Disneyland and a few passersby would tell him "Happy Birthday." He wasn't sure why strangers were talking to him but he did smile for a few of them. ...And yes, we did go on the Winnie the Pooh ride many-a time.
It was a great family day and Maverick had a great birthday. C'mon, crepes, and Disneyland? What more could a 3 year old ask for? Good times.
