Well aren't we partying it up! We decided to just spend a casual night as a family to ring in the new year and it truly was a blast. Chris and I gave the kids permission to stay up as late as they wanted; Ainsley made it to 7:30, Maverick to 8:30, Walker willingly turned in around 10:00 and Aubrey stayed up til midnight, saw the ball drop and then promptly asked, "What are we doing next?" Chris and I retired to bed about 12:15, approximately 14 minutes after answering Aubrey, "We're going to Bed!"
We spent the whole night eating snack food, which was a treat for the kids. We wrestled around, watched a movie and played games together. The Sorry game (Christmas gift) has been a real hit with the kids. It's given us fun times, good laughs, and several opportunities to teach the kids 'lessons' on how NOT to be a sore loser.
